Safeguarding Consultant
Scope of Work
- Conducting and independent review on the organisation’s safeguarding culture, which includes a review of the existing policies and procedures;
- Updating/developing the safeguarding policy and procedures in accordance to the organization’s visions and missions, as well as donors’ framework;
- Training the organization’s designated safeguarding leads to keep knowledge updated throughout the process; and
- Providing advice and guidance on safeguarding, as necessary.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in compliance, ethics, human resource management, or in the management of child protection programmatic areas;
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing policy and procedure on safeguarding and child protection, preferably in the implementation of safeguarding and child protection functions in non-profit organizations;
- Relevant experience managerial position with NGOs in leading programs and projects;
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to give constructive feedback and manage differing expectations and relationships with all stakeholders within the organization
- Clear and concise communication, capable of producing written content to a professional quality based firmly on knowledge of statutory guidance and safeguarding best practice.
